S. Maria delle Grazie and Il Cenacolo

Built in the 5th century, this church is defi nitely worth a visit. In fact, Leonardo DaVinci’s most famous work after the enigmatic “Mona Lisa”—“The Last Supper”—is painted on the wall of the refectory. Its mere existence is a miracle, having narrowly escaped the bombing of 1943. Much discussed and known across the globe, it was made even more famous by Dan Brown’s bestseller, “The DaVinci Code”. You’ll fi nd it intriguing and mysterious in its own right.
