Mr Mohammed Essa came to Dubai on one of his regular visits in June 2007, exactly one month after the launch of the Vice Versa card concept in Dubai.
Mohammed Essa heard about Vice Versa in one of the Vice Versa partner outlets in Deira City Centre. Having used a concept with similarities abroad, he picked up a Vice Versa Welcome package for visitors to Dubai in CK Jeans - one of more than 40 distribution points throughout the destination of Dubai.Mohammed Essa quickly located some of his favourite brands in the Premium Guide to Dubai and headed for the nearby Paul & Shark store in Bin Hendi Avenue to buy some of its elegant casual clothing inspired by yachting. Being on a shopping spree it was easy to continue to Artioli for some unique footwear and exceptionally crafted leather goods. With the Vice Versa Silver card Mohammed Essa accumulated instant rewards as Card-CashTM with every purchase, which can be used instantly as tender (redeemed) in any of the Vice Versa Partner out lets within the network.
During Mohammed Essa’s stay in Dubai, he continued to accumulate Card-Cash on the smart chip of the Vice Versa Card, even when he enjoyed a quick bite at China Times in Deira City Centre.
Mohammed Essa’s Card-Cash (Rewards) is stored on the Vice Versa Smart Chip Card, and he always gets a Vice Versa receipt with each purchase that not only confirms the latest transaction but also the accumulated balance. Mohammed Essa could go to any of the of the more than 250 Vice Versa partner outlet and check the current balance at any given point in time, and of course redeem the balance immediately on any purchase of his choice.
A week later, just before Mohammed Essa returned to Syria, he visited the Paul & Shark store in Mall of the Emirates to use (Redeem) his accumulated Card-Cash (Reward) topping up his wardrobe, with compliments of the Vice Versa programme and its partners.
Mohammed Essa travels the world and likes certain brands and what excited him the most was that Vice Versa gave him a good reason to do his shopping in Dubai instead of other cities that he visits. As Mohammed Essa is a regular visitor to Dubai, upgrading to the Vice Versa Gold card became an obvious choice as the Card-Cash he has accumulated becomes valid for two years and can even then be used cross borders as Vice Versa expands into new destinations.
